Private solutions no match for lacking transport service in the Yarra Ranges
Short daytime local trips. That's my specialty and what I love to do. Meeting the locals, exploring the area, and supporting other local business. For our community members who don't drive, public transport and the bigger taxi services can mean long wait times and high costs. By being local, I'm rarely too far away to help. If you work, reside or are just visiting within the areas on this map, you are my target group. We all know that transport in these areas is hard to come by, and I want to help. No, I'm not talking about late-night pub runs or airport transfers, but the everyday trips that can be so hard to accomplish with more traditional means. As a mum of an early teen, carer of ageing parents, and one who lives and works in the Yarra Ranges, I'm all too familiar with the lack of transport options for simple daily trips such as getting to the doctors/hospitals or the shops. Buses are infrequent and indirect, Taxi's and rideshare don't seem to want to travel east of Lilydale or don't want the "little" jobs. That's why I started SGPT. I wanted to provide safe, friendly and reliable transport services to our amazing community, particularly for our seniors or those more vulnerable and with far less options to get around. The most common complaint I hear from my passengers throughout the Yarra Valley/Ranges is that cabs and Ubers don't show up - even when booked ahead of time. That's just one thing that sets me apart. If you book with me, I Will Turn Up!

My name is Lauren, and I'm a one-woman show. I aim to provide a lower-cost, reliable and caring service in a field where there is so much competition. I'm also a mum to a neurodivergent early-teen, and carer of my octogenarian mum with vision and mobility disabilities. And it's in these roles that I was motivated to start SGPT. I understand the challenges that families, carers, and individuals face in accessing reliable transport throughout the Yarra Valley/Ranges.
I can accept Cash, MPTP Cards, CabCharge and EFTPOS. *If paying by EFTPOS, there is a small surcharge imposed by the merchant. Arrangements can also be made to invoice an individual or company. If you are an NDIS participant with transport included in your core funding, we can also invoice you or your plan manager directly. If attending an appointment and wanting return transport, we can arrange to stay at minimal cost.
I can accommodate up to 4 passengers along with any mobility aids as required (except for non-collapsible wheelchairs). You are welcome to bring any childseats as required.
Pickups located outside of my highlighted area (see above) or outside of my Standard Operational Hours are available by arrangement and may incur a small surcharge.
